I am thinking that any solid state device that utilize induction may get to work self-sufficient if special connections are given between AC and DC part. This all means a board of a device is better energized, the AC is consumed far well for the signals used...
And I have some ideas about it, that you can read and analyze on my virtual disk. Those are mostly for analog devices that generates energy by exchanging signals AC/DC and so on...
But antenna could be used or grounding for better achievements. If you're lucky, you can tune in the bands of resonances - mostly electromagnetic energy.
I think what Thomas Henry Moray had invented was just a solid state receiver amplified and the secret behind it was tuning into the broad band of energy in the air. We can get back to this with IC/Transistors applications.
Still, there's so much energy in the air, that w can trap by any chassis or steel around our device.
Good Luck with your experiments!
