I believe that switching commutator is somehow different approach which needs to be evaluated
What amazes me is that wording of the patent is clearly saying N and S or opposite poles and everyone is trying the same polarity as N and N on primaries
I have also considered this idea but it is not correct
Buforn draw small square on some of his patents and I believe that this device on his patents has important significance
Lastly patent drawing from Figuera was highly damaged and someone did draw lines from his own understanding of Figuera generator connection into it
Try it with new ideas and you will see

interestingly speed of turning of commutator is only exactly half of frequency measured on secondary coil
I have constantly double the frequency on the secondary which is result of splitting input voltage into primaries from one side to other
