Practical build log generator Figuera
#1
Hi guys in this thread I would like to attempt to replicate generator Figuera
This is my fifth attempt to build this generator and each time I have failed.
good chance that I will fail again but at least it is documented for the community.

Please Do not bombard me with many questions, my computer skills are limited.

I will attempt to harvest free electrons from the aether as said by Clemente and Nikola

1/ I'm hacking down 1kVA transformer that was used on 240V/24V on "R" core see pictures.
the core was a little loose which is the reason why I have inserted welding rods (low-carbon mild steel)

these cores with coils will be connected to the Power supply via a commutator and resistors to create Pulsating opposing North poles
At this stage, frequency is not detrimental
I have tried to upload the video from my mobile but it did not work for me
That is the reason why I am sharing Google Drive with this link

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1...sp=sharing

I would like to post picture

The reason for this picture is for making my thoughts clear to others why I’m using rheostat for modulation purposes

In dynamo Rheostat was practically used to increase or decrease current in primary coils to control output for globes

This picture is from book with dynamos from 1893

Just saying…..

Sorry for my mistake the year for dynamo book was 1893

Publication is

Hi Lasco, I am very interested in your build. I am trying to build one too but starting small.

I have tried to open the google drive link and it says "Access denied", what usually helps in this case is sharing it with "anyone with a link". You can choose rights as editor, commenter or viewer. I suggest choosing commenter or viewer.

This should work

First of all Happy Easter to all community and their families

Just to outline what I'm going to do in the next weeks as a step one.

From previous experiments driving Primaries "N' and "S"  was easy with unit " G "  and resistance "R"  - this should be called Rheostat "R"

I have an insulation Transformer that will feed two Power supplies
one is to drive the motor for the movement of the brush and the second is DC feed to Primaries "N" and "S"

Between "S" and "N"  is space for a coil with wire and induced AC voltage will be measured and evaluated.

Varying input voltage for twins will change magnetism and hence it will be easy to place it in the spreadsheet and outcoming  the graph will evaluate the saturation of the core

I believe that electromagnetic cores must operate near saturation on full voltage / Current. - Full Voltage or current will be in a position of brush on 16-1 and 8-9.

I am also starting small with one triplet, that is the reason why I have hacked the "R-CORE"  transformer

I HAVE cut down 1000kva for the experiment

.pdf   Diagram of experiment.pdf (Size: 24.09 KB / Downloads: 17)

For simplicity, R and G  are drawn as one adjustable resistor, winding on "S" and "R" are connected to correct directions of North and South poles,
sign for battery is wrong way Plus is via "G" and "R"  and minus to the "N" and "S" coils ,

As you see coils are identified for N and S

Now next to wind up Center coil ”Y”

In this stage is irreverent what size wire

I’m thinking to use 1 mm

In this build  “Y” coil will have no core

Part “G” is ready to go
It was used previously and works fine just design is not for long run

Some pictures

Hi

Opposing electro magnets can push hard and triplet may fall apart

I made a jig to hold coils in place and also aid insertion of “Y”. Into it

Hi Lasco,

your build looks awesome. Wish I had something like you have for experimenting  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

You said this will be your fifth time building the Figuera generator, why do you think it failed the first time, second time, and so on? What did you change each time? And why do you think it will work this time? I hope it is not too many questions. I am curious and impressed by your perseverance.
