The Howard Johnson Motor
United States Patent 4151431
filed December 6, 1973

This was the first patent I seen that was granted for this type of device
shown to me in 1993
it is easy to look up for yourself, if you like

It turn out there are only 2 patents granted both
Howard Johnson
second on March 28, 1995
patent no. 5402021
