A savings club is a group or other organization that offers members discounts on the purchases of goods and services.  One classic example of a savings club is the American Automobile Association.  Netflix is also a savings club, and so are Costco, Sam's, and BJ's Wholesale Club.  Joining a savings club can get you access to more products for much less money. Every club is different and you have to do your due diligence to work out if spending money on the club membership is worth the savings you expect to garner.

Decide How Likely You Are to Use The Club

If you aren't going to use the discounts offered by a savings club, then clearly you shouldn't join that club.  Before joining any club consider how frequently you plan to shop there or use the membership.  If you only plan on shopping at these places once or twice a year, and the fee is reasonable, then it might still might be worth it, but you have to estimate the savings you would yield going in while relying on the most conservative numbers you can think of.

Nicole's Savings Advantage is an example of a club that enables members to save money on brands of products and services that are oriented toward helping you achieve more success in your career.  So think in terms of business related items and work clothes.  This is the kind of club that may make sense for you given the current economic climate and job outlook.  In order to receive discounts, you begin your shopping at the club's website, where most discounts are accessed through special links.  Sometimes they are accessed through the use of discount codes listed on the Offer Page of each listed merchant.  Some of this club's merchants allow members to shop in their physical store locations.  This might make a big difference to you when you are analyzing the benefits of using such a club.  You have to ask yourself how many stores you are going to visit on average normally in a given year.  When you do, you will see that the amount of shopping you do will add up.

One advantage of Nicole's Savings Advantage is that they gift you a free $25.00 gift card just for trying out the service.  If you do try it out and you discover that it is not for you, you can cancel your membership at any time.  It could be worth a look.
