The hosts of Fox and Friends took issue with a round of golf played by President Obama yesterday, all the while the BP Oil disaster continues to spew crude into the Gulf of Mexico. Brian Kilmeade defended the presidential day off, but host Gretchen Carlson noted that, since it was Sunday, she would rather have seen him asking for some divine intervention from a visit at church.

Carlson later walked her critique back a bit, agreeing with Kilmeade that the President needs a day off now and again to relax, but wondered how the President could play golf while wondering how to “fix that hole” during his back swing.  He also suggested that the president should have taken somebody else golfing instead of the transportation secretary, perhaps somebody that could advise him on how to fix the leak better.

The previous president was also fond of golf, and it has been reported that he spend about 1/3 of his entire presidency on vacation.
