CBSSports.com is offering live streaming video of every game of the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  Millions of college basketball fans are surfing over to the site to watch the games from where a TV isn’t available (usually this means work).  The site has seen by 2.7 million unique visitors so far, up about 50 perceint from last year.

This tournament was originally developed by the National Association of Basketball Coaches way back in 1939.  Today the tournament is overseen by  the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).   Friendly wagering on the games has become something of a national pastime, spawning countless office pools that attract expert fans and novices alike.

With 11 national titles, the UCLA Bruins hold the record for the most NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championships. The University of Kentucky is second, with 7 national titles, and the Indiana Hoosiers lay claim to third with 5 national titles.

Final Four

The term Final Four refers to the last four teams remaining in the playoff tournament. These are the champions of the tournament's four regional brackets, and the only teams remaining on the tournament's final weekend.  The winners of each region advance to the Final Four, where the national semifinals are played on Saturday and the national championship is played on the following Monday.

After the championship trophy is awarded, one player is selected and then awarded the Most Outstanding Player award is by the Associated Press.
