The show is called "The Strategy Room", and Shepard Smith the anchor responded brashly to the question of whether the United States should use torture in interrogating detainees.

"We are America! I don't give a rat's ass if it helps," Smith declared. "We are America! We do not fucking torture!"

"Shep" as he is known on the show is also known by his angry rogue style on daily broadcasts of Fox "Studio B" and "The Fox Report".  Smith received his share of attention from liberals, a few years back after berating Fox's Sean Hannity for defending the Bush administration's response to Hurricane Katrina.

"This government is of, by, and for the people - that means it's mine," Smith exclaimed.  "That means - I'm not saying what is torture, and what is not torture, but I'm saying, whatever it is, you don't do it for me!  I want off the train when the government starts - I want off, next stop, now!"
