Microsoft Windows 7 Update For XP and Vista

Microsoft released an upgrade that will turn your Windoes XP or Vista into Windows 7 (partly). Beta tests already show that Windows 7 is more secure resulting from the advanced security features in the new Windoes 7 operating system.

The update comes in time as a savior for the April Fools Conflicker Worm. This Conflicker worm enters Windows systems and multiplies in accordance to processor speed measured in million instructions per second. This worm is considered "High Risk", and has the capability of causing a lot of damage.

Microsoft urges all users to keep their OS Automatic Updates on. Automatic Updates will ensure your computer receives all the necessary patches and security updates. Microsoft is also recommending to upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 8, and Firefox users should update their browser to the latest version, which is said to be "free of security holes."

Windows XP and Vista Upgrade Instructions to Windows 7

1. Download the security update registry file below:

Click "YES" when prompted about the registry warning. This will allow some open ports to be adjusted (necessary for install).

2. Download the security Windows 7 Updater tool from below link:

Open the file by double clicking, it may take some time to repair the bugs in your computer. When completed, you may be prompted to install some other security updates. It is recommended to do so, as this usually happens when automatic updates have been turned off for a length of time.
