Is Submitting Articles To ArticlesBase a Waste of Time?

We have recently confirmed that articlesbase.com uses nofollow tag's in your entire article submission. Most bum marketers submit articles to article directories for the main purpose of acquiring backlinks. It's a shame that so many article directories and websites are incorporating the no followtag in such extreme proportions. Even the author's bio box has nofollow tag's on all outgoing links. We feel this move is very unwise as it will ultimately discourage experienced marketers from submitting their articles to articlebase.com.

Recently, there was an active discussion on the digitalpoint forums where members were arguing if indeed articlesbase.com implemented the nofollow tag within the resource box. A representative from articlesbase.com came forward and verified that they do use the nofollow tag on all outgoing links. The representative also gave his best attempts to convince readers that it is still worth while to submit your articles to articlebase, even though they will not reward you with any juice.

The articlesbase representative went on to say that 10 hits is better than one followed link. But many members came forward and disagreed with the claim and pointed out that one followed link can result in hundreds of clicks over time as the link will raise your search engine position. The articlesbase representative had no rebuttal to this exact argument, but continued to insist that submitting articles to articlebase is not a waste of time.

We find this shameful because we believe articlesbase is being very greedy. Article submitter's are providing valuable unique content and articlebase refuses to reward their content providers with a simple backlink. It is our upmost opinion that submitting to a lesser trafficked website which does allow followed links will provide more benefit for serious webmasters in the future

We here at Mooker.com allow moderate links with in the article's content along with author biography links which are all followed. Of course submitters must use discretion when choosing what sites to link to, but as long as the links point to good natured sites, we allow them to remain. We advise anyone that is serious about article marketing to take advantage of our offerings and submit your articles to this website.
